Afterschool Program Assistance – Middle-High School               
5-8 volunteers 
Days: Mondays- Thursdays            (volunteer 1-4 days)

Times: 3-6pm
Program Host: Youth Development
Description: Homework help, reading coach, enrichment activities

Afterschool Program Assistance – Elementary School 
8-12 volunteers
Days: Mondays & Wednesdays    (volunteer 1-2 days)

Times: 3-6pm
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description: Homework help, reading coach, enrichment activities

Baby Shoppe
Days:     Tuesday-Friday
Times:   Variable
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  sort and organize donated clothing and children’s items

Children’s Activities/Child Care 
1 -3 volunteers
Days:     Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays
Times: 5:30-8:30pm (incl set-up/clean-up)
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description: Lead or support children’s activities for ages 6mos- 4yrs (Tuesdays/Teen Parent Program) or for ages 2-9yrs (Wednesdays/Parenting Classes); engage kids with games, stories, craft activities or oversee independent play.

Diaper Project – packaging  
2-4 volunteers
Days:     1st Wednesday of month
Times: 12-3pm
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  diaper donation is delivered on 1st Wed of each month; help us count, bag and label diapers to ready for distribution next day.

Diaper Project – Distribution
2-4 volunteers
Days:     1st Thursday of month
Times: 9:30-1:30         2-4 hour shifts
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  help with various tasks related to distribution of diapers to large number of families in short period of time.

Family and Youth Center Advisory Council                                                        
8+ Volunteers
Days:     2nd Tuesday of month, October-December/January-March/April-June
Time: 5-6pm
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  join other ‘family’, friends, participants, volunteers, providers and neighbors to look at current programming, opportunities, issues, etc; give input and help influence planning for the Family Center.

Family Fun Day
Days:     3rd Saturday each month, October-March
Times: 10am-2pm
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  arts& crafts, family games, food creations, theater, dance – all for families!  Help plan and design, resource and facilitate a fun day for families – special retreats for the gloomier months of the year.  Great Opportunity for Parent & Teen to volunteer together!  Or Church group!

Garden and/or Yard Work
Days:     Fridays
Times: variable
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  help with regular and “seasonal” yard and garden tasks such as watering, weeding, planting, cultivating, preserving, trimming, mulching, etc.

Reception
2-4 hour shifts
Days: Mon-Fri     typically 1-5pm
Times: vary, depending on staffing and programming
Program Host: Family Center
Description: Provide a warm welcome while covering the front desk and office area, greet people who come as visitors and participants, provide information and orientation to Family Center and ASC opportunities, answer phones and direct callers.

Sewing class Instruction for Adults
1-3 Volunteers
Days/Times:  Tuesdays 12:30-3pm  and/or Fridays 10-12:30
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  Provide instruction and/or coaching assistance in basic sewing skills and/or more advanced adjustments, dress making, quilting, clothing repairs/mending, etc.  Class size is 3-8 students, depending on level and # of volunteers.  We are seeking a lead instructor as well as assistants. Potential of offering sewing for youth/teens and/or parent/child pairs if there is volunteer interest.

Teen Feed Meal Team
Days:     Thursdays
Times: 5-8:30pm
Program Host: Teen Feed & Youth Development
Description:  come as individual, family or group to prepare a meal to serve to youth ages 13-25.  Target Youth are homeless or unstably housed and food insecure.  Volunteers are encouraged to consider planning the meal and supplying the ingredients as they are able.

Toddler-Time Host/Facilitator
1-3 volunteers
Days: Wednesdays, October- April
Times:  1:30-3:00 pm
Program Host: Family Resource Center
Description:  facilitate and/or support indoor play and learn activities for toddlers and their caretaker/s.  Singing, story time, active play, arts & crafts as well as teaching moments for parents provide opportunities for socialization and learning for both parents and their young children.
