Geno Smith Brings ASC to Lumen

It is no secret Atlantic Street Center loves the Seahawks! We didn’t think it was possible, but that love has grown and it is not just because of their skills on the field. Thanks to quarterback Geno Smith, ASC families are getting the opportunity to attend games this year at Lumen Field.

Each home game this 2022-23 season, an ASC family has been able to sit in the stands during a Seahawks game. The chance to be close to very cool superstars has been a huge source of joy for the participants we serve.

Mostly recently, PK and her mother Trebla were at the Seahawks/Falcons game. While they were there to cheer on Geno and his teammates, the mother-daughter duo also got to meet Richard Sherman.

While our daily focus is to help families and youth thrive despite systemic oppression and poverty through intentional programming, it is important to incorporate fun and enjoyment. Our team is excellent at putting on events to show our families that they are appreciated throughout the year – including holiday gifts, Mother’s Day gatherings, and field trips for our after-school kids. However, our friends at the Seahawks are able to provide a bigger and once-in-a-lifetime experience for those we serve.

We are so lucky to have many different partners throughout the Greater Seattle Area helping our children, youth and families. The memories created through these partnerships are a great example of how inclusive and supportive the entire community is. Thank you and Go Hawks!
