Kinship Care Support Group

Piloted in 1992, in partnership with local government, the Atlantic Street Center Kinship Care Support Group has supported seniors and other caregivers who raise youth within the family. 

Atlantic Street Center gives these caregivers a chance to thrive through our comprehensive support group. Through both virtual and in-person opportunities at our Youth & Family Center in Rainier Beach, we provide emotional support through group meetings, events, and workshops. These meetups help our kinship families find a sense of community with others going through similar experiences, as well as give bonding families the opportunity to learn together and gain access to specific resources that they may need.
