Volunteer

Volunteers play an essential role in our success, whether hosting a workshop, chaperoning youth activities, or providing behind-the-scenes support for events and day-to-day activities.

Volunteering with Atlantic Street Center is a flexible opportunity where individuals and groups can reach out to see how to best offer time or talents. For example, here are some of the workshops, classes, and roles volunteers have done in the past:
  • Catering/assisting in preparing meals for our support groups
  • Managing a collection drive for healthy snacks or school supplies for our youth activities
  • Providing live entertainment at an event (including hosting, presenting, spoken word, singing, etc.)
  • Sponsoring a workshop for any of our participant groups (cooking, filing taxes, etc.)
  • Providing special training or coaching to ASC Staff
We also host and participate in annual events throughout the community. From event promotion, set-up, and tabling, Atlantic Street Center always appreciates help for the following annual events:
  • Our annual Juneteenth Celebration. 2025 will be our 24th year hosting this event! More details to come.
  • Our annual gala celebration. For 2025, we excited to announce the gala will be held on Saturday, October 18th at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. More details to come.
  • Back 2 School Bash. Hosted by our community partner CHAMPS, this event helps Seattle Public School students get ready for the upcoming school year. We typically need assistance tabling.
  • December Holiday Assistance. This is our annual gift-giving event for our participants.
Check out our Events Page here to learn more about sponsorship and vendor opportunities.
If you are looking for more consistent work, you have come to the right place! There are multiple ways to assist Atlantic Street Center on a regular basis.
