A tradition of community togetherness

Annual Juneteenth Celebration – See This Year’s Pictures

Our longest-running event in the community, we have been hosting our Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Rainier Beach every year since 2001. Local Black artisans, thought leaders, performers, and restaurateurs join us to bring an afternoon of joy and opportunities to learn to South Seattle. We invite local organizations to share their resources as well as seek speakers that can perform for and educate our crowd about Black history and the transcendent meanings behind Juneteenth. 2025 will be our 24th annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Back2School Bash

While we do not host this event, we are so honored to be a part of it every year. CHAMPS hosts their annual Back2School Bash at the Rainier Beach Community Center to give Seattle Public School students the chance to receive new backpacks and school supplies. Local organizations, including Atlantic Street Center, table to connect families with resources they will near throughout the school year and beyond. This is a free community event. Annual Gala – See This Year’s Pictures

Thank you to those who celebrated in 2024 with us. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18th, 2025 to join us in celebrating our 115th birthday! We will be back at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. Stay up to date with all celebrations surrounding our 115th milestone.

December Holiday Assistance – Wednesday, December 18, 2024

A tradition we love. In partnership with Rick’s Toys for Kids, Atlantic Street Center is able to source new and trendy books and toys for the children we serve. Their families will choose the perfect gifts helping to make what is typically a stressful time of year a time of joy and excitement. Through the additional generosity of local United Methodist Churches and individuals that know of Atlantic Street Center’s long-standing legacy, we are also able to provide some gifts to community members outside of our programming.
